Influences

Photography to me is catching a moment which is passing, and which is true. -Jacques-Henri Lartigue

During the past several years, I have attended workshops with Eddie Soloway, and Richard Newman at Santa Fe Workshops .  Also at Santa Fe workshops, with George De Wolfe , I learned and adopted a digital workflow for producing fine prints.

I was introduced to landscape / nude photography by the late Cole Weston and Kim Weston in Big Sur, CA.

My portrait photography is inspired by Dorothea Lange's portraits from the depression and Yousef Karsh.  Barbara and Fernando Moon Batista of Monterey have been very helpful with learning studio lighting.
